A Place That Warms the Heart
is a family grief center providing free grief support groups for people in the Shreveport/Bossier City area. We are a group of health/mental health professionals with extensive training in the area of grief, loss, and bereavement. Our non-profit organization was formed in the early 1990's with the mission of providing education and support to those who are grieving the loss of a significant person in their lives. We do this by providing community education, professional seminars, and our free grief support groups.
Our groups are offered in sessions twice a year. Each session runs 8 to 10 weeks, meeting once a week for two hours. We offer a group for children, teenagers, adults grieving a significant loss, parents whose children have died, and our new group for those losing a loved one by suicide.
